Tioga Road Album
Yosemite Park has a road going from the west side to
the east side called Tioga Road.  It is 42 miles long and
only open in the summer.
As we approach the exit the high
altitude still has wildflowers.
The view the other way to the
north
east.
Soon we come to Toulumine
Meadows.
Olmstead Point is the most
scenic view of the drive.
You can see Half Dome Peak
looking to the southwest
.
Tanaya Lake is the largest lake on the Tioga Road.
The view is from a giant
boulder.
Leaving this canyon marks the
beginning of Tioga Road going
east.
A look up Yosemite Valley
and the Merced River.
And Tenaya Lake
Lambert Dome in the Toulumine
Meadows.
The scenery does not stop at the
exit.  This is the canyon to the east
of Yosemite.
Tioga Pass entrance on the east
side is at 9945 feet of altitude.
