West Maroon Hike Album
The West Maroon Trail goes from Gothic Road north of
Crested Butte to Aspen.  It is a 25 mile hike with a reputation
for spectacular wildflowers.  This hike only went 2.3 miles on
the trail then back.
We then come to a abandoned
pioneers cabin.

The drive on Gothic Road is very
scenic

Gothic Road passes through the
village of Gothic.
The trail goes above treeline into
a vast expanse of wildflowers.  
We are told it is the worst year
for wildflowers in decades.
There are waterfalls in the
nearby river.

at 2.3 miles and stop for lunch.
