| This was a 2.5 mile hike around Lake Irwin. |
| To the west is Mt. Beckwith. |
| The wildflower Miners Lantern is over 6 feet high. |
| Lake Irwin is west of Crested Butte. |
| The trail then took us past a waterfall. |
| On a hot July day we hike through wildflower fields. |
| On the west side of the lake there again are wildlfower fields. |
| There are some private beaches on the lake. |
| The first half of the hike was through wildflower fields. |
| And even beaver dams. |
| We pass a large rock formation. |
| We come across some young campers. |
| We end where we began, at the trailhead. |
| The trail is bridled by wildflowers. |
| One last look at Lake Irwin as we approach the trailhead. |
