Beaver Brook Hike Album
The Beaver Brook Hike is located on Lookout Mountain near Golden.  
To hike to the first vista it is a 3.8 mile roundtrip hike with a vertical
change of 253 feet.  The trailhead is at 6,961' and this hike went to the
highest altitude of 7,214'.  The hike was done on 8/14/2015.
Beaver Brook splits from the
Lookout Mt. trail at .27 miles
into the trail.
Just a short distance beyond the
first rockslide is a much smaller
second rockslide.
Our hike begins at the parking lot
trailhead for Beaver Brook hike.
Soon the trail
narrows for a
short distance.

Along Gothic Road we encounter
a Porcupine.

At .42 miles into the hike we come
to the first rock slide.

the trail was very easy.

At 1.94 miles into the hike we
come to the destination- a Vista.

Half way back we take one last
look to the west.
After the hike the statistics of our
3.8 mile three hour hike.
Afterwards we go to the best trading post
there is.  They also serve a great lunch.
