Mt. Bierstadt Hike 7/29/08 & 7/31/08
The first attempt from the north to climb the 14,054 foot summit failed.  The
access from the north over the "Sawtooth" was beyond our capabilities.  The
2nd attempt was 7/31 from the west.  It was much easier.  It was a 7.9 mile
roundtrip hike of 2383 vertical feet.
We first tried to climb Mt.
Bierstadt from Summit Lake.
The wildflowers around Summit
Lake were at their peak.
