Hells Hole Hike 6/1/2010
Hells Hole Hike is number 53 in the Mount Evans Wilderness.  It is a
9 mile roundtrip hike with a vertical rise of 1784 feet to an elevation
of 11,570 feet.  It includes Krummholtz trees.
The main creek was West
Chicago Creek which flows to
Clear Creek in Idaho Springs.
The valley had beaver and
marmots.
The area had many Krummholtz
trees.

June 1st.
Surgarloaf Mountain is to the
west.
This hike is 75% in trees, 10% in
krummholz and 15% above
treeline.
