Beartrack Lakes Hike 6/24/2009
Beartrack Lakes hike is #43 on the Mt. Evans Wilderness Map.  This
should be a hike of 5.5 miles but we had to turn back because of the
weather.  We hiked halfway to 9955 feet for a elevation rise of 863 feet.  
We did not get to Beartrack Lakes on 6/24/09.
The trail started in forest with
many boulders.
The trail was scenic as well as
green.
The halfway point where we had
to turn back because of rain.
We crossed Bear Creek only
once.
We crossed into a burn area.
The wildflowers were at their
peak at 9000 feet late in June.
