| These hikes are to Windy Peak and Coyote Trail near Tremont Mountain in Golden Gate State Park. It is located about 15 miles northwest of Golden. The Windy Peak is a 7.4 mile hike with a vertical rise of 1200 feet. The Coyote Trail hike was 2.2 miles and 650 vertical feet. |

| We come to a bootleggers cabin with an explanation about moonshine. |
| We get a good look at Mount Evans in the distance. |

| As we go back we find an off trail to the ruins of a power roller. |
| We reach the altitude of 9481' and decide to go back down. |
| As we leave the park the parks ridge of mountains is off to the north. |
