| This was a 4.3 mile roundtrip hike to the summit of Vasquez Peak, 12,969 feet. It was 2,081 vertical feet. This hike is from the parking lot on Jones Pass Road just southwest of Vasquez Peak. |

| To reach the summit from the parking lot you must first hike east up to the CDT. From there follow the CDT to the north until you come to the valley of the white marble Carne located on a ridge. |
