Vasquez Peak Hike 09/03/14
This was a 4.3 mile roundtrip hike to the summit of Vasquez Peak, 12,969 feet.  
It was 2,081 vertical feet.  This hike is from the parking lot on Jones Pass Road
just southwest of Vasquez Peak.

Carne that marks the valley to the
south of Vasquez Peak.  That
valley is the easiest way to the
summit from the CDT.
To reach the summit from the
parking lot you must first hike
east up to the CDT.  From there
follow the CDT to the north until
you come to the valley of the
white marble Carne located on a
ridge.
