Walker Ranch Trail Hike
This 8.4 mile loop hike had a vertical climb of 1220 feet.  It is located
in the west side of Eldorado Canyon State Park.

We soon pass through a very old
burned area.
Around the bend is Eldorado
Canyon.
The creek is very tumultuous.
Soon we are back into forest and
a view of South Boulder Peak
from the east side of the trail
loop.

At the Crescent Meadows  
Trailhead (south).  The first 13
photos were taken on May 5, 2016.

Taking the clockwise direction
around the loop we go north into
forest.

We go into the canyon to South
Boulder Creek.

fisherman's path upriver from
the bridge.
We find a lone fisherman

we can go as the south side
fisherman's trail is stopped by
private land.
Back on the loop trail we go east
from the bridge.  The following
photos were taken in May of 2008.
We come to the Walker Ranch
Loop  Trailhead and parking lot.
The burned area goes for a
couple miles of the trail
The trail goes down into the river
canyon to South Boulder Creek.
We start the hike up the staircase
for the 2.25 miles hike back to the
south trailhead.
And second is the Barrel Cactus
