Josh's 2018 Colorado Adventure

In June of 2018 Josh came to Colorado for 5 days.
At the trailhead of the South
Boulder Creek trail.
We keep 5 for dinner.  Many are
returned to grow larger.

Grandpa's hunting grounds.
We fish for trout in Lake Urad.
We visit the Air Force Academy.
Grandpa gets lucky.
Josh catches a very unusual breed
of trout.  It is put back into the lake.

9359' to 11115' for a vertical rise of 1756'.
We enter James Peak
Wilderness.

The trail splits at about the 1
mile marker.

As we gain altitude there is
more and more snow.
We come to a large meadow with Meadow Marigold flowers
everywhere.  Next the outlet to Rogers Peak Lake.

After 10 miles we get back to
Moffat Tunnel.
The Georgetown Train Ride and Silver Mine Tour
The 5 mile trip took us from
Silver Plume to Georgetown.
We stop at the Everett Mine
for a tour.
