Ketchikan Alaska Album
The city from the wharf
The city of Ketchikan is located 250 miles south of Juneau.  There are 8,000
residents and probably that many eagles.   The city proclaims to be the wettest
spot on earth with as much as 200 inches of rain in a year.
A black bear comes to town.
The Totem Heritage Center
The poles were used by Indian
tribes as welcome signs and to
commemorate anchestors.
Getting close to the eagles was easy!
The city claims the worlds largest
collection of totem poles.
