| The Black Canyon National Park is located near Gunnison and is on the Gunnison River. The river goes for 48 miles through the park and drops 4700 vertical feet. That is more than the Mississippi drops in it's entire length. The park is 30,000 acres in size and has 168,000 visitors a year. |
