| Shafer Basin is accessed by following the Colorado River from Moab west on 279. This drive was 26 miles of which 10 miles was on dirt 4WD road. The destination point in Schafer Basin is called the Colorado River Gooseneck. |

| Soon we pass the evaporation ponds for the Texas Gulf Potash Plant. |
