The Hartwell Tavern is near the
Visitor Center.
The Tavern is located on what is
now referred to as Battle Road.

was in colonial times.
Inside the Tavern 2 men
recreated the period and told of
the significance of the Tavern.
The original mile markers are
still along the road.
Located in Lexington, Massachusettes, the Minuteman Park is about 5
miles long.  It goes from Lexington to Concord.  The park is the route
the British took on April, 19, 1775 when they went from Boston to
Concord.  At Concord the first shot of the American Revolution was
fired on the Concord North Bridge.
There are markers where British
soldiers died when they were
returning back to Boston.
The North Concord Bridge where the
700 British soldiers were met by 400
Minutemen.  The British had come to
confiscate weapons and destroy them.

marked the beginning of the
American fight for freedom.
