Florida Kennedy Space Center  Album
The Kennedy Space Center is the primary launch site for the US
space program.  On this visit we were able to see the launch of
STS 122 Atlantis space shuttle on February 7, 2008.
Each mission had a patch to
commemorate their voyage.
The most powerful rocket
used--the Saturn 5
The Control Center
The moon lander used for the
first landing on the moon.
The Assembly Building at the
Kennedy Space Center.
The grounds at the space center
The Saturn 5 rocket showing the
different stages
A space suit for walking
on the moon
The entrance ot the Kennedy
Space Center
A space shuttle and a early
rocket used for heavy payloads
The overwelming feeling in
watching a launch is of profound
patriotism and pride for our
country.  See STS 122 launch
page.
Very happy tourists after being able
to see an actual launch of a space
shuttle.
As we leave we take one last look
at the fantastic center where man
took the first steps off the planet
into space.
See STS 122 launch page.
