| Lithuania has a population of 3 million and is 1/4 the size of Colorado. The country first got it's independence in 1914. That lasted until 1939 when the Soviet Union took over this small country with the occupation lasting until 1991. Lithuania is a member of the EU and has a flat tax of 33% for Social Security, Medical care and Income taxes. It also has a VAT tax of 21%. Lithuania's per capita income is $14,000 a year. Social Security pays $260 to $520 a month. |
