| Estonia has a population of 1.3 million and is 1/6 the size of Colorado. The country first got it's independence in 1920. That lasted until 1939 when the Soviet Union took over this small country with the occupation lasting until 1991. Estonia is a member of the EU and has a flat tax of 20% for Social Security, Medical care and Income taxes. It also has a VAT tax of 20%. Social Security pays $450 a month. Estonia is one of the few countries in the world with no national debt. |
