| Blenheim Palace had a small museum of Winston Churchills life. He was the Prime Minister of England who took over the war with Germany just when England was at the edge of defeat. He took over from Chamberlain who appeased Hitler to the point of destroying British Navy ships thinking it would show Hitler England wanted peace and wished no harm on Germany. All the while Churchill was proposing standing up to Hitler. Chamberlains course was proven a total disaster. Churchills first action was at Dunkirk to save the British army from annilation. He pulled it off and saved England. He had two non consecutive terms as Prime Minister--the first during the war of 5 years (1940-1945) and in 1951 to 1955 for 3.5 years. |
