Cruise 2019 Pirate Page
For 5 days our cruise was in sea where pirates have been active overtaking ships and
holding for ransom.  The worry beside pirates coming on board was that they may start
shooting rockets at ships that must transit the area and then demand money to stop
shooting at them.  Our ship while in these waters used every effort to make us safe.

to sit inside.
Four guards were
on each side of the
ship.
They each had a LRAD or Long
Range Acoustical Devises (in
black cover) and on each side
4 high pressure hoses.
There was 4 high pressure
hoses on each side.
The guards had binoculars
and walkie talkies.  They
guarded day and night.
A officer from the Royal Navy
gave us a presentation of
what to expect.

asking us not to distract
them.
