Great Wall of China Album
The Great Wall of China was built between 220-206BC by the first
emperor of China, Qin Shi Huang.  It is 5500 miles long of which 3389
miles is wall and the rest natural defences and trenches.  There are
1200 watchtowers.
The easy way of getting to the
wall is by a ski lift.
The Great Wall of China.
The day was very cold--about
10 degrees.
The wall for the most part is 16
feet thick.
The wall also for the most part
is 16 feet high.
We were told that it was unusual to
be able to see the mountains.
The wall to the east went
downhill.
We run into two Manchurians and
Joanne manages to take away their
swords.
We decided to get away while we
could and headed down on the lift.
The wall is a 1.5 hour drive from
Beijing.
