| Botswana is mostly a wilderness savannah covered with trees and the huge Okavango river delta. It is 2.2 times larger than Colorado with 1.6 million people and 120,000 elephants. There are many very nice lodges in this stable African country. It received its independence in 1966 from Britain. |
